The Institute of Public Finance will organise the annual conference Housing affordability: what is new? in Zagreb on 26 September 2025. The conference aims to clarify the state of play in conceptual, empirical and policy analyses of housing affordability, assess trends, knowledge, and data gaps, and identify key policy trade-offs and suitable roles for public and private sectors in the European institutional context.
As an introduction to the conference, a keynote speech will be given by professor Duncan Maclennan (University of Glasgow, Scotland; University of New South Wales, Australia; and McMaster University, Canada).
For the conference, we invite submissions from diverse disciplines, including micro- and macroeconomics, public and housing finance, urban and regional economics, economic geography, urban planning, sociology, etc.
Abstracts or papers (original, previously unpublished) should be submitted electronically by 1 May 2025.
More information and relevant topics can be found on the conference’s website.
