Katarina Ott, scientist emeritus
Previously director of the Institute of Public Finance, professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb and chief editor of the journal Public Sector Economics. Currently senior research advisor, editor and trustee of The Hanžeković Trust. Research interests, projects and publications in the field of the public sector economics (transparency and accountability of the public sector and citizens participation in fiscal policies and budgetary processes, the relationship of the state and the economy, public sector reforms, local finances, EU integrations, sustainable development goals, unofficial economy, etc.). Since 2018 member of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration; during the career, representing Institute of Public Finance in Global Initiative for Fiscal Transparency (GIFT), Open Government Partnership (OGP), Steering Committee of the Global Civil Society Movement for Budget Transparency, Accountability and Participation (BTAP) and its representative for Europe; the International Budget Partnership’s Open Budget Survey; member of the Economic Council of the President of Croatia, of Government committees (e.g. for pension reform, for the development of islands) and of management boards (of the Croatian Retirement Fund and of the Zagreb University), etc. List of publications available at CroRIS.
