The Institute of Public Finance and Croatian National Bank will organize a virtual presentation on May 6, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm (CEST) on the effectiveness of macroprudential policy in Croatia.

Tihana Škrinjarić (Bank of England, London) in her article published in the journal Public Sector Economics, covering the period from the mid-1990s to 2022, applies the growth-at-risk approach as one of the methods for assessing the nature of macroprudential policy. Škrinjarić highlights that different definitions of key variables can lead to varying results and conclusions, underscoring the complexity of measuring the character of macroprudential policy. The results are influenced not only by the choice of variables representing policy measures but also by broader methodological approaches.

The presentation is open to the general public, but all participants are required to register in advance at the registration link.
