Our junior researchers from the Institute of Public Finance – Martina Pezer, Simona Prijaković and Branko Stanić – met with Radu Cracan, an analyst from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, on 25 September 2023. The meeting discussion covered various topics from public sector economics and macroeconomics in Croatia.

Croatia's economic trends were compared to the European Union, OECD and neighbouring countries. The possible directions of reforms of local units, education and the pension system in Croatia were on the agenda, as well as the sustainability of public finances and achieved economic growth in Croatia.

Also, selected projects of the Institute for Public Finance were presented: Implementing shared anti-corruption and good governance solutions in Southeast Europe: innovative practices and public-private partnerships and Budget transparency of Croatian local governments.
