In this project:
- Research done for the Ministry of Finance in 1996 and published in the journal Financial Practice, 1997, 21 (1-2) was revived and continued, where it was reasonable to do so.
- New research was undertaken, in accordance with the recommendations of the previous research, and in connection with the findings of the international conference about the unofficial economy in transitional countries held in Zagreb in 1997 and published in the journal Financial Practice, 1997, 21 (5-6); and in line with the most recent research on the unofficial economy that has been carried out for the transitional countries in the last few years (World Bank, International Monetary Fund, Harvard Institute for International Development and so on).
