The Project included the participation in the Peer Review on Approaches to integrate long-term unemployed persons held in Berlin, which provided the opportunity to analyse the new system of activation policies and integration of long-term unemployed persons in Germany. The event focused on how different measures can be used to fight long-term unemployment and the incentives used to enable job centres to focus more on supporting the long-term unemployed.
This Peer Review was hosted by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, and it also provided opportunities for exchange with other European countries and to discuss how effective networks can be established locally and regionally in order to work with long-term unemployed persons and what forms of cooperation have the most potential.
