The main aim of the project was to address the problem of shadow economy in selected Western Balkan countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro) by acquiring and presenting data on public attitudes toward undeclared work and illicit trade of excise goods, as well as by promoting good practices and advocating for the creation of comprehensive prevention and combat strategies. The Project addressed two specific problems: (1) undeclared work, and (2) illicit trade of excise goods.
The project was led by the Centre for Policy and Governance, Sarajevo.
