Our researcher, Mihaela Bronić, who is also the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Public Sector Economics, participated in the 33rd NISPAcee Annual Conference titled “Polycrisis and Multi-Level Governance: Impacts, Lessons Learned, Challenges and Opportunities”, held from May 22 to 24, 2025, in Bratislava, Slovakia.
As part of a plenary panel, editors of eight public administration and policy journals – primarily from Central and Eastern Europe – presented their journals’ missions, scopes, and strengths. The panel offered participants a valuable opportunity to engage directly with editors and explore opportunities for publishing in indexed academic journals.
Bronić introduced the journal Public Sector Economics, highlighting its editorial focus, peer-review process, and contribution to advancing public finance research in the region and beyond. The journal publishes theoretical, empirical, and policy articles that analyse the role and functioning of the public sector at the macroeconomic, sectoral, and microeconomic levels, in both developed and emerging markets. It is indexed in relevant international and national databases and is considered one of the leading journals in the field of social sciences in Croatia, recognised for the quality of its content, peer-review process, accessibility and visibility to the scientific and professional community, and editorial excellence.
