Assistant Romario Marijanović participated in the international course Public Sector Debt Statistics – Fundamental, held from August 4 to 8, 2025, and organized by the Statistics Department of the International Monetary Fund.

The program provided an overview of the conceptual framework and practical aspects of public sector debt statistics, based on international standards including the PSDSG 2011, GFSM 2014, and SNA 2008. It covered key concepts, data collection and reporting methods, and was structured around a series of case studies.

As part of the course, Marijanović delivered a presentation showcasing the national approach to compiling public sector debt data, including data sources, methodological frameworks, and challenges faced in the national context. The knowledge gained will support his ongoing research work, particularly in the analysis of public debt and the enhancement of methodological approaches in the field of public finance.
