On October 24, 2024, our colleague Simona Prijaković held the inaugural lecture for appointment to the part-time lecturer position at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb.

Her lecture "Production Analysis" covered the topics of returns to scale and elasticity of scale in the long run, the curve of the equal product (isoquant), the line of equal costs (isocost) and producer equilibrium. Companies buy production factors (inputs), which they then transform into final goods and services (outputs) at a given level of technology and offer them to consumers in the domestic and foreign markets. Technologically efficient companies make maximum use of production factors, while economically efficient companies want to find the cheapest combination of production factors with which they achieve a certain level of production.

The inaugural lecture was held as part of regular classes from the Basics of Economics course in front of students, professors and an expert committee consisting of professors Fran Galetić, Mira Krpan and Velibor Mačkić.
