The Institute of Public Finance will organize a virtual presentation on January 21, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 am (CET) that will explore the long-term effects of labor market policies on unemployment dynamics across different demographic groups in OECD countries.

Osama Shaikh (Hacettepe University, Ankara, Türkiye) will present findings, which show how the impacts of labor market policies, wage dynamics, and labour supply vary across youth, adults, and the overall population. Through a systematic analysis, this research highlights the importance of age-targeted and institution-sensitive strategies, particularly in the areas of training and activation measures.

The presentation is open to the general public, but participants are required to register in advance at this registration link.
