Enja Erker (Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Ljubljana), winner of the student award of the 2023 Prof. Dr. Marijan Hanžeković Trust Competition, will present the award-winning paper "Forecasting medical inflation in the European Union using the ARIMA model", which provides an insight into the movement of medical inflation within the EU. As healthcare costs present significant challenges, with accurate forecasts of medical inflation, policymakers can anticipate and respond to these challenges in advance, insurers can set appropriate premiums and develop innovative models, and the health system can allocate the resources needed to ensure financial stability and quality care.

The virtual presentation will be held on 25 April 2024 from 10:00 to 11:00 (CET) and is open to the general public but all participants are required to register in advance at this registration link.
