Conferences :: Social Protection Policies and Microsimulation
The Institute of Public Finance is organising a scientific workshop Social Protection Policies and Microsimulation, which will be held in Zagreb on June 12-13, 2017.

The workshop will gather researchers, analysts and policy makers interested in application of microsimulation models and related empirical techniques in economies facing employment and demographic challenges. Participants will exchange their experiences and discuss the effectiveness, efficiency and equity of various social protection policies, particularly those aimed at increasing employment rates and improving the living standards of families with children and the elderly. These policies include, but are not limited to:

  • child benefits, child-care services and parental benefits,
  • ‘make work pay’ instruments,
  • measures to support labour market inclusion of people with disabilities,
  • long-term care services.
